My Career

I graduated with a Computer Science degree with interests in websites, software, and IT.

Minnesota Power

From late 2012 to December 2013, I worked as an Engineering/IT intern at Allete – Minnesota Power. I worked on Virtual machines to remotely support other machines within the company, imaged machines with new and current software and operating systems, technical writing for instruction and detailed reports, and advance troubleshooting. I completed many jobs within the support team, but also contribute work with the programmers and networks groups doing various jobs.

GrowthZone formally Micronet Inc.

In early 2014, I joined the Web Service team at GrowthZone. Here I honed in my skills in HTML, CSS, and Javascript/jQuery doing various website developments. The main project I was a part of was upgrading customer websites to responsive websites using bootstrap and transition them to a new content management system.

I then accepted a new position as an Account Manager in Aug 2014. The duties included giving support for customers’ websites and their customer relationship management database known as GrowthZone/ChamberMaster. Along with gaining skills in web development and support, I gained valuable skills in customer service.

This then transitioned myself to Web Support as a Web Support Engineer in July 2016. I used the skills from my past to give great support for customers’ websites and handle a lot of the integration done between their website and their GrowthZone/ChamberMaster software.

Most recently, in June 2017, I moved back to the Web Service team as an Integration and Launching Specialist. Duties include working on special integration projects such as linking our GrowthZone/ChamberMaster databases with their websites removing the need of double entry. This involves a heavy amount of CSS and jQuery code. I also launch websites for our customers whether using our CMS or a third party website.
